Whats needed to be done to enable the door lights so they work?? the garage I spoke to said they could do it but it will take at least a couple of hours coding work, just seeing if this is right??
Unless there is a kind member not too far from Northants who can do it for me..... :happy2:

It takes a minute to do each door, you just add a number to the existing coding!
Takes a few hours to do the install plus coding if that's what they meant?
Door cards off and repair wires need fed into the door controller for power, then the light units need installed and wires routed to it.

I've already installed and fitted the wirings just want them switching on.

Five minutes then

Find someone local who is on the vcds register

2 hours for coding! Either they thought you also wanted them fitting or they are behaving like the stealers :fighting:

Silly questions but why do they not work from standard?
-
They are just reflectors as standard on most mk5's - they need swapped out for bulb units, wired in, then activated by software.

Silly questions but why do they not work from standard?
because they were not fitted
If they were coded and not fitted it would throw up a fault

Ahh cool, cheers for clearing up guys.
