Title: Oem Bluetooth required
Post by: micaerin on March 14, 2013, 01:49:18 pm
Hi guys I'm wanting to install Bluetooth unit to go with my rns510, I have mfsw but only red midline. I have seen. Few on eBay but they specify white dot matrix only. Which unit do I need? I will be using iPhones if that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance.

I bought a Bluetooth kit from Eddie-NL it works with the RNS510 but does not display on the highline and I can't answer the phone with the steering wheel button but I can still answer the phone through the stereo and stream music through Bluetooth.

I wanted the kit as it was compattable with iPhones, I think you get the phone menu on the highline display if you buy a polar fis box but not 100% sure.

Eddie was also much cheaper then the kits advertised on eBay.

Kufatec Fiscon Basic Plus is what you need.

If you don't mind not having info on the highline the 5k0 /7ps kit is great

I have RNS-510 and red hiline  ,I was advised by Eddie to use Skoda 729b BT Kit as it works with iPhones and  RNS+red dot matrix hi line

It would yes - so best bet in my opinion is a 5k0 kit - I have fitted 3 (and got the plug and play looms for all of them from Ed) and just sources the module box on eBay or similar. Great bit of kit which shows full address book on headunit as well as calls etc

The 7P6 kit works with RNS/RCD-510 head units but does not show on mid or Highline. I'm currently using the 7P6 kit in my Golf and i cant fault it.

I have the midline display, rns and the kufatec basic plus.  I answer and dial via the touch screen.  It's an excellent piece of kit.
