Welcome danny  :happy2:

You should be able to get a nice spec motor for your budget. There are plenty I things that can be retrofitted easily and some others not (such as xenons) so decide what you want and then find the car  :drinking:

cheers brookesb32,

yea I think the xenons are a must, just trying to find my feet and this forum is a great help to find out a lot about the mk5 gti

really like the look and spec of the grey ED30 in the for sale section, 300 miles away thew and a single train tickets £116, if i can find a cheaper way to get there it looks like it could be the one. only just started to look the past weeks thew so don't want to rush into nothing.

Welcome Danny.  Good luck with the search mate.  I bought myself an edy last week after 8 months of searching and it took me over 150 miles to find the right one.  Well worth it though.  Sounds like you have a nice budget there so you should have be able to find one with a good spec.
