Title: DV question
Post by: elmo on March 15, 2013, 01:33:39 pm
I keep seeing these threads about people changing the DV on there GTI's.

I was wondering if there is similar issues/easy fix on the PD170 engines? Had mine since November and is on 80k so I wouldn't know if there is some power loss anywhere.

if its on 80k, just get it checked / changed. you can tell if your 1st gear seems a little edgy off the line or hear some whistling noise.

I had a massive power increase once getting mine changed.  :happy2:

Is it in the same place as on the GTI's?

It's different for different turbos

I believe its above the wheel arch for K03 and under bonnet for K04

Not sure what turbo mine is but pretty sure it's not Ko3 or Ko4.

You have all read the first post properly haven't you?

My car is a PD 170 diesel.

Different boost and fuel system to the TFSI so no DV or cam follower problems for you pal  :happy2:
