Title: Fitting a catback milltek
Post by: darrens on July 22, 2009, 10:40:12 pm
I am close to buying a catback milltek and will be getting a friend to help fit it.

If there anything else I need to get such as gaskets or is a straight replacement?

Please excuse my lack of technical knowledge, I'm learning as I go!

Make sure it comes with the reducer to mate it up to the existing OEM cat.

Thanks, I will let you know if I don't get one with the exhaust but hopefully it will all be there!

The guy who is fitting it says I will need some mikalor clamps.  Are these usually included with the exhaust or will I need to source some and if so what size?

Hi Darren,

Got my Milltek Cat Back delivered yesterday and I can confirm that it comes with all the above. 3 x Clamps. Reducer. 2 x Sections.
Hope this helps.

Did your mate say anything about needing exhaust paste between the sections?

I'm not too sure mate. I'm hoping someone on here can shed some light. I'm also fitting it myself this weekend.

Use a silicone sealant instead, which will not dry to powder, crack, fall out and cause leaks.
