I'm looking at these for sidelights
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XENON-WHITE-9-LED-SIDELIGHT-REPLACEMENT-BULB-ERROR-FREE-CANBUS-T10-168-501-W5W-/270914789849?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D6293479195122444948%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D270914789849%26
And these for reg plate lights
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271106650150?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Are there any alternatives I should consider?
Thanks

There is a massive thread about leds in the main mk5 section, have a look. May be a few pages back now though

I bought a pair of these recently.

V pleased. Not too bright as they are 2 led instead of the usual 3 or more. But a nice clear white light. I prefer a subtle approach!
Open back design so there is good heat dissipation. Work either way round as well.

I bought those festoon ones and after a month they both started flickering. A few people on here had the same problem.
I would get the 18 smd number plate lights which are the whole unit rather than a bulb.
Much brighter too which I like.

Have had these in mine for the past 18 months without problems:

More expensive but great quality :happy2:
