Title: A lot to ask

I am currently stuck in Canada. I was just wondering if anyones good with the codes on the VAG-COM system. Also its in German. As I am trying to purchase new parts before I get back. So I am able to  :driver:

The top engine fault code relates to the - 'Angle Sensor 2 for Throttle Actuator (G188)' - signal zu klein is 'signal too small' so likely 'Signal too low' in VCDS speak
The lower one i think is a comms error to the engine control module probably due to having the G188 code logged?

I should add my vagcom knowledge is fairly ok but my German is more than a little rusty but gets me by most of the time so please don't buy a new ECU/engine/trade the car in etc on my schoolboy joyman just yet  :signLOL:

I am still stuck on what it is though ;/ I was told it was a sensor in germany and also maybe the wire

The G187/G188 sensors are located within the throttle body, quite a common fault on the Tfsi for the throttle body to become coked up and stick, you could try either cleaning the throttle body, throttle body reset (requires vcds) or go for a new or known good replacement unit,
There was also a TSB on the wiring harness/plugs relating to the throttle body iirc, I'll have a look if I still have it somewhere  :smiley:

Cheers man. :) the weird thing is that sometimes I have full power and others its 3k rpm max. But I wonder in these throttle body sensors are broken or would the dealers be able to clear it out.
or does someone have a how too on it?
Because as you see on top of my paper seat dealer quoted me 350euros on a sensor

So I have decided it could be my throttle body, first of all I am gonna try to clean it out if not I will be buying a new one  :scared:

I never bothered cleaning it  :signLOL:

So I purchased a new one. I hope it resolves the problem :)
