Park the car in the shade if you want to take pics on a sunny day.
The camera will see all the white and compensate therefore blacker than black wheels.

HTH.

BTW, looking at these, I want to buy black Alleggerita alloys even more!
I think this will happen soon, I need to get two Michelin PS2 tyres first, but the site I order them from put some kind of abbreviations after tyre names, and these affect the price.

Like:
Michelin Pilot SPORT PS2
225/40 ZR18 92Y EL mit Felgenschutzleiste, M0, RR *

What does this M0 and RR mean?
What do things like RRBL, N2, N3, N4 mean?  :stupid:

nice Matt but we need better pics  :popcornsoda:

Peskarik , the codes are specific for makes of car e.g. Mercedes/Porsche etc  (Michelin made compound etc changes just for these cars)
you want a non coded generic PS2 but with an XL (extra load rating)  :happy2:

....

The black wheels particularly suits with the black roof and mirrors, Mat :happy2:

But don't gild the lilly - I'd think long and hard before wrapping part of your splitter.

I will quickly try some black tape on it just to get an idea if I like it in black or not

how much is your car lowered? Do you find it practical, and what springs did you use?
Just got my 18s fitted, but want it down a little and yours looks like one of the best lowered ones on the board (sorry everyone else!)  :booty:

the car is sat on KW V3 and has been setup by vw racing but if i get chance i will get a pic of it later as i was sat in a parking area yesterday and oh my god the car looked  low and wide  :rolleye: as for being practical i just slow down for speed bumps and thats it

KW-V3 setup by VWR is the same as mine, Mat - Are we lowered about the same?

not sure mate but would think so but then again Mark did say he would go for the race car look but still be practical

....Depends on how you define "practical" - I'm ok on 99% of speed bumps but most indoor car parks with ramps are out of bounds! I have to go on the lower deck of the Chunnel too but I consider that to be a big advantage when wider tracked.

looks good dude, not too low, just nice.
Where do you get them from? How much? how easy to fit? does lowering affect insurance?
(I see another spending spree coming on...and to think, this was a thread about your wheels to begin with!!!)

@ big al :

As I expect you already know, aftermarket suspension will effect your insurance and some 'conventional' insurers (most!) will increase your costs as your ride lowers. However, an insurer like Greenlight who specialise in and understand modified cars, won't increase your premium but just add a £25 admin fee each time you update your annual policy.

It's always best to declare all your mods. Greenlight replace like-for-like :happy2:
