Title: MFSW / Highline
Post by: jedi on March 18, 2013, 10:50:56 pm
Hi.  I'm fairly new to the site.  I keep hearing the following - MFSW and Highline.  I'm guessing these are factory options that can bed retrofitted.  Sorry to sound dumb what are they?

Also is there a glossary section so I can get Upton speed with these things? :happy2:

Cheers

MFSW - Multi Function Steering Wheel

Highline is the different computers that sit between your spedo & rev counter. Lowline, midline and top of the range highline  :happy2:

They can both be retrofitted.

Cheers mate.

What's the difference between the Highline options?  Is there anyway I can find out what one I have?

Cheers

Both can be retrofitted at a cost

The bottom one - midline.  Wish I knew a little more about these options before I bought my eddy.  I have the option of retrofitting though.  Hopefully it will add value as to when I eventually sell.  The higher the spec the more I can command.  Thanks

I would like to have MFSW retrofitted.  Bet it's not going to be a cheap option.  I'll call my local VW garage to find out how much it will cost.

Get one of the retrofit chaps on here to do that for you, a lot cheaper. Keep an eye out in the "For Sale" section on here and on eBay for a MFSW.

Eddie-NL your man!

So far he has fitted (amongst other things) my RNS-510, MFSW with paddles, and on Saturday he fitted a Highline clockset.
Each one has its own benefit but they work best as a package.
