Some how managed to get rear ended driving up a hill at walking pace this afternoon :fighting: :fighting:
Young kid in a polo misjudged it and shunted me cracking my lower rear bumper around the number plate
Was absolutely fuming and was scared to get out the car to see the damage and what I might do to the other driver
Luckily he was a well a mannered guy and not a sniff of attitude or aggression, and willing to pay for a new edition 30 rear valance for my car, well his mum was as he's a student and obviously skint
Didn't realise how much they were as VW have quoted me around £670 to supply, paint and fit a new one :surprised:
Think I've been lucky with who hit me if that makes sense as it could of turned into and absolute nightmare trying to get it sorted out and dealt with

It certainly does help with who crashes into you!! Nice when it all comes together like that.
In my old mk4 r32 two years ago, I had a audi RS4 come round a corner and into the back of me. He was travelling slighlty too fast and the traffic light signs didn't register with him so he said. I needed a whole new bumper. We both shared a common interest in fast german cars and actually we got on well, and he was fairly young too. Sorted everything out the following week down the pub and he paid for a new bumper and for a 'health check' for the car! Ironic really as we've been to two shows now together! He didn't want to go down the insurance route for reasons only known to him!!

Too true. The only issue I have had in the 2 years ownership is when my offside rear panel was side swiped in a car park. The young lady was leaving her details just while I was walking back to the car.
Her old man was a knob but got sorted in the end so was happy :happy2:
