Title: Leather
Post by: Makaveli on July 24, 2009, 11:45:54 am
Hi,

Can someone recommend a good leather cleaner/maintenance product, I have seen a few threads but none of these products seem to be available in Halfords or anywhere off the shelf. Can you recommend something I can just pickup off the shelf?

Thanks

Hi Makaveli,

We can highly recommend RaceGlaze Leather Cleaner and Leather Balm, however, I'm not sure that you'd be able to get these from Halfords.  Both products are easy to use...  The Leather Cleaner is very good at lifting off any marks and residues and the Balm is a good product for keeping the leather soft and supple, as well as keeping that "new leather" smell present.  If you want something that you can go and buy you'd probably be looking at something like either AutoGlym or Meguiars.

If you're in a hurry we'd happily get the products sent out to you today and they should be with you tomorrow.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. Would you accept paypal as a method of payment and also how much are the products that you mentioned.

Hi,

Yes, we accept PayPal.

The Leather Cleaner is £7.99 and the Balm is £9.99, or we do a bundle kit that includes both products, two applicators and two cloths for £22.49.

As a forum member you get 10% discount on all of those prices and postage will be around £4.75 if you go for the bundle kit... £4.15 if you only have the two bottles.

The PayPal address is orders@autoperfection.com.  If you let me know what you want to go for I'll send you the final price

Many thanks

I would possibly be interested in just the balm, do you have any sample/or smaller sized options? Can you also let me know how easy it is to apply, is it just a once off liquid application.

Has anyone from the forum used it on the GTI leather?

Thanks

Bought both products from Autoperfection at Inters. Easy to use, makes the leather smell nice too. Its a regular use system, so the balming needs doing regularly to keep the leather nice and supple.

I used Gliptone Leather Cleaner and Conditioner, which came highly recommended.

The price is pretty good too - picked up both the cleaner and the conditioning balm for just over £10.

Check out htis thread....
