Title: Water pump change or not with timing belt????
Post by: Coe on March 22, 2013, 06:12:28 pm
Hi guys, gonna get the timing belt and kit replaced on my mk5 gti. The car will have done about 40k or just under. Should I get the water pump replaced at the same time???

Considering the relatively low mileage I've been told don't bother. My initial opinion was to do it. What's your thoughts?

Best practise is to do it at the same time.

Best to do it at the same time or it will cost you a hell of a lot to get it replaced if it does break in the future.
