Hello, I have been searching but no luck..anyone have the part no + price for the stock air filter?
Cheers

If your buying from a dealer just ask for an air filter for a MK5 Golf GTI. They will probably have several in stock :happy2:

P/N: 06F133843A
Genuine £15.29 delivered (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-SKODA-SEAT-AUDI-VW-AIR-FILTER-06F133843A-FSI-TFSI-BRAND-NEW-/320823952348?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Plat_Gen%3AMK+V&hash=item4ab29903dc)
Might be cheaper from the dealer though.

would you recommend pipercross or K&N drop in panel filter over stock? mine standard no remap etc (worth the extra 20 quid +)

No.

I certainly would. +7bhp on the dyno with a K&N on mine, improved throttle response too Great little mod :happy2:

Being fair it horses for courses. I ran my Stage 2+ car with the OE filter and didn't lose any horse power when switching back from the K&N. Filters should be just that and filter the air. The K&N do filter the air but don't filter out the finer particles like paper air filters. If you change the paper filter every 10,000 miles you wont have any problems with the filter clogging up.
