Title: just a quickie
Post by: DubwayDan on July 24, 2009, 05:04:04 pm
hi guys, just bought a set of splits for my mk5 but they are pcd 5x120 and ET35...

just wondering what can be done to these? can the holes for the wheel bolt be welded up and re-drilled to 5x112?

also would it be possible to machine the centre back to gain a higher offset?

cheers, dan

I think you can just get wobble bolts for fitting the different PCD
What width are the wheels.

the wheels are 8" wide all round, 3 peice splits would 112 to 120 not be too much difference for wobble bolts?

The width helps the offset it makes them 4 mil further out than mine so thats not to bad by your standards.  will defo get rubbing again though.
I cant help with the PCD thing but i have heard of people doing what you mention. Maybe try asking on wheel whores.
I wouldn't fancy making the back plate of the wheel thinner.  :scared:
