Im currently in the market looking for a golf mk5 gti (any edition/good spec/decent mileage)
Got around 6000 to play not much but its a start :)
What am i to look out for any serious problems with these golfs?
Anything 70k onwards i should look out for because this looks like were my budget wiill be..

I've read that the cam follower can cause top end damage to the engine if not changed. The turbos diverter valve can split and also the PVC valve can split too. I think these three are the most common problems to the gti.
Maybes get all three changed when you buy it as a precaution.
Apart from them problems I think they are pretty reliable well I hope they are because I'm also looking for one :happy2:
