Title: Help with Droplinks...
Post by: t20lau on March 28, 2013, 11:20:31 am
Hi Guys,

Just been looking around and dont seem to be able to find what I'm looking for! Just wondering which droplinks I should purchase to replace the knocking ones currently on the car, and how difficult or easy they are to DIY? From what I understand all I require is to remove 2 18mm bolts, and them put the new ones on right? Or will I be challenged with some kind of ball joint that wont want to come off?  :signLOL:

Thanks,
Tom

Just buy OE drop links and they are easy to change. You only need to jack up the car and possibly remove a wheel.

Yeah pretty straight forward to do, but sometimes the stud/bolt can turn when you try to loosen the nut. You can either grind them off or get some grips behind the bolt to stop it turning then try to loosen the nut again. Some of the drop link stud/bolts have a Torx bit in either so you can stop it turning with them
