Title: DV valve for 2005 GTI with AXX engine code

Hi guys

Just a quick question, Is the DV valve on the 2005 Golf GTI engine AXX different from the D version I have just been told by VW that mine has a breather pipe attached to the side of the DV valve and the "D" version that I bought is only for the 2007 onwards. Is this correct or will the "D" version fit and VW have got it wrong again?

It will fit but a REV G is the preferred option over the D on any car. :happy2:

Currently got a D fitted to my AXX 07/2005 GTi!!  :signLOL:

Brand new G sitting here next to me waiting to be installed as the D does has a little leak verified by VCDS.

Well I'm stumped because I had my car in VW this morning to have the D valve fitted and they told me I bought the wrong part and that I need the valve that has a breather pipe fitted so they have ordered me another one obviously they haven't got a clue as to where this part is even fitted think I need to go back and see the Manager!

You would think they would know there own car!!!

Does any one know the correct part number VW use for the rev G version perhaps I will sell my D and try the G version instead.

Breather pipe?? Another VW dealership that doesn't know what they are on about... I've had both the rev D and G on mine and G is the better of the 2 in my opinion.

Think I might just go to AMD and get it fitted being as they fitted the last one few years back :stupid:

Got the Rev G fitted on my '05.   Part no is: 06F 145 710 G   :happy2:
