Title: Carrying and storage of detailing goodies
Post by: Top Cat on July 26, 2009, 06:20:43 pm
At the minute i just use a large bag. Not very good tubes fall over and leak and basically its just a mess.

Any ideas on a good storage container of some sort. I was thinking of something like the old milk bottle carriers, so each item has a seperate section for its self.

any ideas.

Is this for in the car or just at home?

Until recently, I used a carrier bag containing the stuff, which was then placed in one of the buckets.

I now have a plastic box to carry everything to/from the car and it'll fit nicely without any problems. Have a fair bit of stuff so there's not much space for things to slide around or fall over.

Tom, i used these expensive detailing storage things in the past and they almost always are dissapointing!

The best thing i have found are plastic boxes. Now the boxes i use are the ones you would find the in gardening section of B&Q etc. They  are normally cheaper than the ones in the "storage" section and they are much sturdier.
They are normally solid plastic, not opaque. The opaque ones are normally very flimsy and brittle, and can cost up to £15?!

the ones i use are normally green, to go with the gardening items too. and normally cost about £6-7
