The guy who fitted it said that because I have the famous g201 brake pressure sensor problem the CC Won't work.
Does anyone know a way around it?
He said he can get me a brand new abs pump from poland and fit it for around £200.

did he fit the wire?
what steering controller have you got?
I know if there is a fault with the brake pedal switch it won't work
-
He said the wire is already there. Im not sure what controller I have. Can I check it with vcds?
We were talking about mfsw's and he did mention that I would need a newer version of the controller.

is it worth me getting a new abs pump put in or get it rebuilt by someone like sinspeed or bba reman

are you sure the wire is there?
looks like no communication between the ECU and the steering module

looks like no communication between the ECU and the steering module
When I called him before going to him he said he has spares of those wires so if needed he will put it in. When he took the controller off he looked at the connector and said the wire is there.
The cc icon comes on the dash when switched on but a second later it switches off. It also now comes on when ignition is on so I'm guessing there must be communication between ecu and controller . Is that right?
Thanks ed

2005 = no wire unless your car is MY2006
if you only code the steering module the green light will come on
the fault in the engine suggests no communication

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/16952/P0568/001384
doesn't suggest anything to do with the abs pump
-
Oh crap! Is it Easy to put the wire in?

I'd try everything before the pump - they're serious wonga.

Ok just had a look from the inside of the car behind the little pocket cupboard.
Heres what I've found.

Is that the right plug connector?
A bit dark and cold to look at the connector from the top of the engine

as I first said, the wire is not there
time to find someone who knows their stuff
goes in the blue plug pin 4
then pin 13 on the steering module
-
Thanks Eddie. Spoke to the guy just now and he said he will fit the wire in for me.
But he "a million percent" claims the cruise control still won't work because of the abs pump fault.
We'll see

without the wire it won't work 100%
based on his oversight on the wire he might have well said don't bother fitting the stalk as it won't work because of the pump.
I haven't seen a car with the G201 fault when I have fitted cruise, so couldn't say. I would bet that it does work once the wire is fitted
-
Only one way to find out now. Ill keep the thread updated once the wire is fitted.
Thanks for all the help eddie. Really appreciate it .
