Title: New car remap not sure of make?
Post by: Itsagthing on April 01, 2013, 08:39:58 pm
Hey guys I have recently returned from NZ to live back In good old blighty and I brought a ed30 before returning and had my dad pick it up. Now the car had been stage 1 remapped but the guy selling did not know anything really a bit of a rtard. First driving outing today and its beautiful however it has a little switch Inside the cabin with a light on it. Now when It's off it's standard, when its green its slightly mapped and red is full remap or so the guy told me. Driving it I can defo feel some differences but checking it out etc something smells fishy. I'm a tech and had a lot of cars mapped and tuned but this isn't liked have seen before. It's a tiny button with a light not like a revo sps or anything. Should I just take it to a mapper and be safe or maybe get it ..RR and check the afrs? Do you pro mappers if reading this think I should check it out more, not knowing anything about it? I mean it def feels like 300 hp ish on full tap but I just don't want it to blow if its a dodgy tuning box which is hidden somewhere behind the dash??hope you guys can help. :happy2:

Just looks like it increases throttle response, similar to a sport button various cars have.  No power of boost change?

Yes but he also told me it has been remapped? Wonder if I should remove it and just get it remapped by nick?
