What if anything does anyone know about Basingstoke?
Good / Bad places to live in town?
Local VW garage?
Good local roads to go driving on?
Inside info much appreciated!
Andy.

Good / Bad places to live in town? Can't really help but have a mate that lives there. He seems happy.
Local VW garage? Martins in Hatch.
Good local roads to go driving on? Plenty.
I'm only down the road.

Sure am Nath, we're opening up a new wind tunnel down there so I'm going with it. Fancy a change of scenery, better job, better money etc. Plus only 60 minutes from home anyway.
ps. she's clean and well looked after btw :innocent:

Only been 3 times, first time over 20 years ago, then a while back to meet RR before going to the J&H and then the 3rd time to do a SAW at the Hilton hotel there.
Can't say I'd want to live there particularly, as it always seems to be so congested (I have such a dislike of driving in the south east since I left!).

Nice town centre, got a few cinemas and out of town retail places.
I don't think you'll go too wrong there buddy, it's certainly not a bad place!

I used to live in B'stoke, and it's true of there as it is any larger town and city. There are some nice bits too, so don't be out off and with regards to traffic, depending on where you work (which side of town) then choose where you live carefully
