Title: New car but only one remote lock fob works.
Post by: hakko on April 02, 2013, 07:40:51 pm
Hi Guys,

After buying my car (Year 2007) I noticed that the spare key fob doesn't work. I can use it to manually lock/unlock but not via remote.

This means that if I lose the main key, which the car has been locked with via remote (and alarm armed) then I won't be able to disarm the alarm.

I've had a quick look online and couldn't get any of the guides to work. I have also just replaced the battery, in case.

Is it possible for me to pair the fob to the car or must I bring it to a main dealer?

Cheers.

this is maybe not the same for u but i bought my car last week and only one keyfob worked but as it turned out it was just because the 2 keys were too close to each other  :stupid: once separated all was ok

I once had a fob lose sync then refused to resync even though the red LED worked.

You can quickly resync it to your Central Convenience Module if you can get a hold of someone with VCDS.

Hi,

That's an interesting solution, but not working for me i'm afraid. :(
