I'm currently buying a set of xenon's, but I've been told they need to be coded otherwise they flicker.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Would be much appreciated :happy2:

Hi buddy,
I have full VCDS, while I've never coded Xenons in before I've seen the check boxes under the long coding helper on my car, I'm sure armed with a guide I could manage it. (he says...)
Are you doing it with the wire to the CEC for shutter activation or not worrying about that?
I'm in Berkshire so fairly close, will do it for fuel and cola tokens. :love:

I honestly don't know what needs doing for them to work properly..
But you can do them if you know what your doing mate :smiley:

You'd need the Kufatec wiring loom and I would need to know if you wired up the additional wire to the CEC for the BiXenon functionality, or whether you are using Halogen for high beam, and whether you are running the auto-levelling. :happy2:

Yeah I'll be getting the adapters for xenon's to work
I just want them working like they would if they were factory fitted..
i'm useless at stuff like this, So I have idea what you need to do! Ha

No that's fine. I've never done it as I said so I can only go on theory but, I believe what happens is; (with a Kufatec wiring loom)
By default;
1) The Xenons will work for dipped beam and halogen would work for high beam on both forward and pull back on the stalk.
2) The in-car levelling adjuster will adjust the beam (he thinks..???)
If you run a wire from the wiring loom to the CEC under the steering wheel, you can have it so when you flick the full beam switch forward, you activate the BiXenon functionality.
You can also then install self levelling if you do desire.

They're fully functional as they should be?
Apparently the coding just stops the light flickering and knackering the ballasts

Yes, but what I'm saying is that I don't believe the Bixenon part (the shutter) would work, you need to run a wire from the light wire to the CECM I believe so it makes the shutter lift up and likewise go back down.
Coding them in will stop them flickering and doings weird things

Mine passed ok with the dial still in place
