There's a vag specialist round the back of where the Royal Mail depot is, or a garage that I use in Phoenix industrial estate, by the civic centre

The specialist is www.audivwsc.co.uk/
The place I take my car to is :http://www.harrowautoservice.com/index.php

The guy is trustworthy and won't rip you off. Many occasion I've self misdiagnosed for the worst and he has always been honest and fixed things cheaply. Example, I thought my dmf was on its way out, did the research and when I told him i thought it was my dmf, he could have ripped me right there. Instead he had a look, explained it was just my tensioner rattling cause it was loose and tightened it and didn't charge me for it. I know garages that would have taken advantage if the situation.

I can recommend Russell Automotive in Kingsbury. I received great service when I got my NQSBBK fitted there.

If you go there say I recommended you. Steve is a good guy.

Just a quick update went to Russell Automotive and they quoted £130 for the DV and fitting. He also said its not worth changing the Cam Follower. The audi specialist in harrow quoted half the price, so I'm going to get it done there. He also mentioned if its worth changing the cam follower. But after reading some of the threads, I think I might as well, so I'm going to change that for my peace of mind.

Thanks guys for your help.

Yeah you may as well get both done for peace of mind.

Thats pretty pricey from Russell. Let me know how you get on at the Audi specialist, might go there myself next time.

DV is £32 and takes 20 mins to fit including putting up on ramps. So that's about £300 labour

Follower is £28 and takes 30 mins max.

Went to http://www.audivwsc.co.uk/ and they did my DV and cam follower. Have to say impressed with the service.

The car really feels much better and I'm sure it's not just in my head

Good to hear. Will most likely get a quote from them in future.

What did your old DV/CF look like?

Just a bit worn. But the car feels better. Going back next week as I need to replace some suspension bushes, which they noticed when the car was on the ramp.
