i had my cambelt changed by VW about 2 months back. i noticed now when i go over a speed hump on the road i hear a slight rattling noise.
this shouldnt be normal... is this perhaps because of the cambelt change?
-
Most probably, get it checked out ASAP! More likely to be the belt not tensioned correctly or the water pump.
-
it only happens when i go over humps not when im driving normally then it seems normal.
unrelated issue perhaps?

Maybe but unlikely. It's not coincidence that you have some major work don't on your car then you get these new noises. Get it checked out!

:popcornsoda:defo get it checked. Mine was the same and nearly popped off the pullys. The noise you are hearing is most probably the belt rattling off the cover. I thought my rattle was an exhaust heat shield, turned out it wasnt!

Did they use new bolts in the engine mount?
-
mine sounded sweet once i had it all changed i would deffinatly get it looked at ASAP the longer you leave it the more time the garage have got to fob you off and say its got nothing to do with them! :happy2:
