Title: Smells of Vinegar
Post by: Tortaruga on April 04, 2013, 10:16:38 pm
Had a chippy last night in the car with the missus. The car now reeks of vinegar.

Does everyone allow eating in their cars or is it against the law?

No eating or drinking (except bottled water) allowed in my car.

I remember as a kid the fact that my dad always had a bottle of vinegar in the glovebox, and a tub of Saxa salt.

In my car it seems to be a known rule that I don't want anyone eating or drinking while on the move - even though I don't recall saying that!

I don't even like getting a McDonalds takeaway to eat at home.
It really stinks the car out even sealed up in the brown bag.
I now put it all in the boot and cover it with a towel till I get home, I then open the boot and remove the bag and towel and open all the windows for a few minutes  :signLOL:

Eating and drinking yes providing it is not one of those flakey pasties which go everywhere. Smoking definately not. One of my friends always takes offence when I tell him he is not allowed to.

An occasional snack is ok, but i hate even giving a lift to a smoker (even with a no smoking in the car rule). Stinks like an old used ashtray afterwards.
