Title: Golf r/Audi s3 insurance

Don't know if this is the right place to post but. Anyways when I've got quotes from compare the market on the golf r and the Audi s3, the s3 comes up just over 3k more to insure than the golf r. Just wondered wether I'm missing something because as far as I knew they are the same car with a different badge.

Basically the s3 is higher risk to insure at your postcode than the r. Its not always down to engine size or car value. If a few s3's have been stolen or crashed near you insurance will go up.

Thanks for that, yeah I know it doesn't just come down to engine size and value of car but I live in the sticks in a tiny village and stuff like cars being stolen here never happens. I carnt remember one stolen car incident here in my life here. I just Throught 3k was really steep.
