if you take into the fact the cost of putting it back to stock it will endup taking less
-

he is very mod happy, he lives round the corner and ive already shook his hand, he said hel have the money in 8 days. :sad1:

:congrats: :jumpmove: u best go test drive an r32 quick
-
Seems cheap for the mods and spec. Is the car high mileage? Really fond of the Mk4 R32 myself, so im sure you will love it. Absolutely loved my mates when he had it.
-
....
You never get your money back on mods, so don't stress over it. £13k sounds good.

....You're absolutely right but most people conveniently forget that!
-
So are you definately coming over to the heavy side?
-
take the money and move on :happy2:
better find an R32 now :congrats:
-
just make sure you think it through coz if u get rid, you wont be able to have your car back! having said that the proposal to get a mk4 r32 does sound good n certainly not the most ridiculous iv ever heard! :happy2:
-
Joe i hope you buy a Mk5 R 32 and not a Mk 4
As VC says we can nearly open a small shop selling white goods in here if you get a Mk 5 wouldn't want you leaving us.

-
there are a few charged ones on pistonheads but they are silver and infact i am shocked how cheap the mk5 r32 is now
-
yea theres some cheap mk5's but the idea was to save a bit of cash. lol. the silver charged one looks OK, how much for a re-spray?
-
does it have the RNS510 in your car?
does the buyer know?
if not put my rcd300 in it and give me your rns510 plus some change :signLOL:

Better still, swap my MFD2. I doubt he will notice the difference at all!!! :signLOL:

no, lol, i have an alpine unit,
-
£13k sounds good, its more than what I sold mine with including the mods - damn, I could have got more ... but I suppose at the time it sounded good and tbh I though I was pushing it!

Thats a tough one, i just read your build thread again and although I am a big fan of the MKIV R32 i would say no, well not a silver one a def not a modified one as where the fun in that youve bought someone else's creation.Maybes a standard p/blue or the very rare Red.

Sam :jumpmove:

£13k for yours
about £7.5k for the MKIV R32 you were looking at. That leaves £5.5k towards the turbo/supercharger upgrade :happy2:
Supercharger route is a little cheaper than turboing I've heard, but doesn't give the ultimate power a Turbo does.
:happy2:

Go for it Joe, has the guy wanting yours left you a deposit?
-
Joe,
I'd be tempted by the 370bhp s/charged one that Jules posted about. It looks like he may be desperate to sell now and so might even accept the £13k you have been offered for your
That conversion is worth the money all day :happy2:
-
it HAS to be blue!! :P
the charger conversion wont be getting done for a while anyweays, need coilovers first, then 19" ch's (black) then bluflame, THEN charger, :happy2:
-
That one you've linked (http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/VOLKSWAGEN+GOLF/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-24-88-240-4294966835-4294966886/advert.action?R=200930338327268&distance=38&postcode=la3+2xs&channel=CARS&make=VOLKSWAGEN&model=GOLF&min_pr=9000&max_pr=10000&max_mileage=&vehicleYearOfManufacture=2003&vehicleRegLetter=), Joe, stinks to high heaven.
Trader dealing out of his house, mobile number only, filthy car, dodgy £200 plate. Its a wrong un.
Can't spell for toffee...
rVOLKSWAGEN Golf 3.2 V6 R32 pearl blue, 2003, 6 speed manual, full black koenig leather heated, sports trim, cliemet 4 morsen. 18" alloys 3 door 6 airbags, low millage, long mot, long tax, xenons, cd 240bhp, excellant condition. £9,500.
Where's the important stuff, owners? history?
EDIT - car doesn't exist on DVLA (http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/application?origin=vnav_bar.jsp&event=bea.portal.framework.internal.refresh&pageid=Vehicle+Enquiry).
-
Not sure about that one in the linky Joe, doesn't look very well 'looked after' to me!
EDIT Just read TD's reply and agree!
-

Ok, ok, blue it is (I don't blame you really )
£8k for the car, £2k for the wheels/tyres and then another £1k for the suspension should give you at least £2k left from your GTI sale for the conversion. Which means you'll need at least another £4k to finish it. :happy2:
-
Just respray the silver one
£2000 for a decent respray if you get that
£12000 for the mods you will need and fitting
:stupid:
-
Spend the money and buy a 'known' car.
I could clock an R32 with a Gameboy and the 'Trader is the worst place to be looking for one. Nobody with a good one uses it, because they know they'll get better money & quality of enquiries from a specialist site.
-
Sounds about right.
I clean mine once a week even when it has not been used. Also have put 2500 miles on it since Feb which includes a few motorway uses :ashamed:

2500 mile from feb  is that all i have about 10k from then :P
-
specialist sites like what? i was going to view the blue one on sat mornin, its only 20 miles away so may aswell, why isnt it on dvla
-
if its a mk4 , then theres a timing chain tolerance value to check which I never knew until I was on R32OC.
You need to take an R32 'enthusiast' with you really :happy2:
-

A forum, like R32OC - you want one that's been owned by an enthusiast. You may get lucky and drop on a family owned car, but you're fishing in a small pool of cars with a fair few dogs.
The DVLA has a link where you can check the basics of a car based on its reg and type, on the link in my post. That reg either doesn't exist or isn't for that R32. Too many things in that ad make me think its a bad un.
It's most likely to stop savvy people doing a text HPI check on it and finding out its history, they'll be relying on someone 'green' to view it, fall in love and not ask too many questions.
Ask for the VIN, see what it comes up with. I'm sure someone on here can do a bit of digging on it?

-
I was thinking the same about the one in the link, didnt even bother his ar$e to wash it. Id avoid it too.
