Hello to all - I have been a little slow in actually registering on the forum (been driving and cleaning the car obviously!) but have been reading since owning the car.
Bought from my local VW dealer, I have owned the car now for 6 months and will get some pictures uploaded in the next few days for you guys. Its a 2005 Golf GTI MK5 in grey. Six speed manual, with heated leather interior, xenon lights, 18" Monza II alloys and is completely stock with 27k on the clock.
I had owned a Toyota Corolla T Sport (twin-cam 1.8 VVTLi) before owning the GTI, and have to say so far I am very impressed with both the build quality and the performance! A massive upgrade from the Corolla and loving the turbo noises!
All in all a very happy customer - Will make sure to get some pics up soon!!
Cheers,
Mark

Hi all - Will get some better photos this weekend (weather allowing!) but in the meantime I have the photo of the day I picked it up!
By the way I have noticed that inside the fuel cap it recommends hi-octane fuel (98 RON) which is fine as my previous car said the same and was kind of expecting the same with a GTI so I have continued to use V-Power from the local shell as normal, but wanted to see if this was 'the norm' with all GTI owners?

Welcome on board Mark! :drinking:
She looks a beauty, for the price of a few extra pence I always use the Power of V. If you plan on getting your new toy mapped, then its advisable to stick with 99 Ron anyway.
