Title: Buying a 2nd hand iphone advice
Post by: v2brett on April 11, 2013, 10:23:59 am
Hi fellas im just after abit of advice, 1 of the guys i work with is abit strapped for cash and selling a nearly new iphone at a really good price but he purchased it via brighthouse on weekly payments, so my main concern is if i buy it and he stops paying the payments can it be blocked etc by brighthouse?  I dont want to be left with an expensive paper weight but on the other hand i dont want to miss a bargain.

Cheers for any help guys

Can't offer the advice, but ouch, is he going to feel silly paying about 300% APR for an iPhone that he doesnt own any more.

This has 'sticky mess' written all over it.

If they block the phone it should work on a foreign network still...

Think ill leave it tbh im not willing to risk it even though its really cheap.the guy is in a tight corner financially, but we've told him time and time again how crazy he is for using firms like this, hes basically going further and further into debt  :scared:
