Hello all, been registered on here since dec 08!
Bought a brand new GTI back in June 08 and have been lurking on here ever since,so thought it was about time i said hello:signLOL:anyway only had the GTI for about 15 months and really liked it, didn't realise how much till I sold it and Had been through a couple of different cars.
But it looks like I'm back in the MK5 fold, just put a deposit down on black 08 3door Edition 30 DSG, factory sat nav, only 28000 miles, 2 owners : cant wait!
Cheers Marc.

Hello Marc. Nice to have you on board.
seems like a good find with low mileage there mate :happy2:
-
Yeah seems to be, only thing is I'm in Glasgow and the car is in Southampton!
But I'm sure the journey will be worth it.
-
Blimey! You flying down then? lol
-
Yeah flying down this Sunday night having a overnight so I can collect the car early Monday morning
To give me a good run back up the road all going well. At least it will give me a chance to have play with DSG box.

Welcome, epic journey home. One reason i like buying a car from some distance away as it gives you chance to get used to it on the way home, just difficult when viewing :signLOL:

Welcome on board Marc. :drinking:
That'll make a great road trip, you'll get through some V Power on that one!!
:happy2:

Sounds like you got yourself a great car with really low mileage. That will come in handy with the mileage your gonna put on it for the long drive back. How many miles is that journey fella?
-
Lovely place Southampton :innocent:
Post up a pic when you collect.. There are a few in here from Southampton with Ed30's..
I'm sure your gonna absolutely love the drive back. :happy2:

Well picked the car up on Monday morning and all was well, car was exactly as advertised correct spec history ect....anyway deal was done left Havant around 10.30 am and after heading around 20 miles in the wrong direction DOH ! especially when the car has nav I made it home 440 miles, four stops and a tank and a half of fuel later at around 6.45 pm.
What can I say really thats not already been said about the eddy, Just stuck it in drive and cruised back down the road at a steady 80 and in total comfort, had a bit of a play with the DSG box but never really gave it any proper stick until I got back home on more familiar roads and all I can say is I'm seriously impressed with the standard car with the DSG box, felt every bit as fast if not faster than my previous car a manual TTS which is lighter and supposedly more power  Can;t wait to get it mapped!
Thanks all for the welcome.
