As far as i can remember the units are £300 a side then you need to buy igniters, ballast packs, bulbs my local vw dealer quoted me £800 a side as far as i remember before you go down the road of headlight washers self levelling frnt and rear

wait for a set on ebay mate. Thats where I managed to get mine a few years back. As Itismebigd sayd they will cost a you bomb from the dealers.
But make sure they are complete with Igniters, Bulbs and Ballast. There are a few that pop up on ebay that dont have these and they still cost a small fortune to get afterwards, plus you need the adapter cables to that plug into your existing wires and then the xenon headlights.
You wont need headlight washers or slef leveling either.

Thanks for the input chaps. :happy2:

Are they really worth the money over standard lights with improved bulbs ?
Sons car has them , mine hasn't . Can't say that i would pay £7-800 plus to retrofit them , but then its only money :rolleye:

In short, yes.

I would say no.
The stock headlights with decent bulbs are some of the best lights as fitted standard to a car.
It's a nice to have, cool feature, which you can resell later.

Pardon the pun,but xenon lights are like night and day compared to halogen, they pick out road sings with utmost ease, the colour temprature is almost like driving in the brightest day...all of the time so imho they are worth there weight in gold by far my best mod yet.

I have Xenons (aftermarket Hella Celis units) which yes, did give a marked improvement, but the point I was making is the stock headlights are not exactly bad.
They do not give £600 better lighting let's just say that. And in certain situations Xenons are harder to see for example in urban areas in in snow or fog.
