Title: Buying a Car from Northern Ireland
Post by: micosb on April 17, 2013, 03:57:18 pm
Was wondering if anyone knew the process of buying a Car from Northern Ireland.

Is it classed as an Import when brought to the UK mainland and what are the things to look out for?

Is it worth doing or should it be avoided?

Cheers

Michael.

Got mine from NI... No import tax etc. just take the v5cNI to your local dvla office (dont send in post)and they will register it.you can keep the NI plates or swap to UK ones.your v5c will arrive in the post.job done. Road tax carries forward aswell.
