Been toying with the idea of fitting these to my car since I saw them and have been able to get a cracking deal on them. bBut not sure if I need to slam the car for these to suit it. I'm going to lower it at the same time as fitting the rims and was wondering how much of a drop you guys think would be required, and if you guys have any pics of these rims in black on an cw ed30?
Cheers

Iv got some sliver/polished 005 on my reflex silver gti in 8.5/9.5
Personally i feel that if your going to go for staggered setup like i have then you need to be pretty low with camber to pull them off properly
If you decide to go for 8.5 all round then you can stick with a 225/40 and a modest drop and will look fine
my car for reference with 215/40 and 225/40

I was going to go 8.5 all round to avoid having to add rear camber. What drop have you got on yours looks quite a lot.
Car looks great btw

my cars lowered around 90mm with around 3 degrees of rear camber to give me clearance for the 9.5
i think around a 40mm drop would suit the 8.5 all around with a 225 tyre
what suspension were you going for springs or coilovers?
-
Thinking off weitec coilovers. They give a max drop of 90mm I was thinking of going down about 50mm

should look spot on and you can get the exact drop u want :happy2:

Would you not getting rubbing issues with 8.5j and 40mm drop?
I've been thinking of doing the same as you except with the 0.01, just don't want the hassle of rubbing and wearing arches/tyres/arch liners away.

should be fine with a 225/40 (minimal stretch on a 8.5)
or you can go for 215/40 (what I'm running on my 8.5 fronts) if your worried about any rubbing
but you should be fine using a 225/40 and removing the screw in the arch liner :happy2:

Excellent, thanks for that :happy2:

I ran 8.5 on the front and they had to be pretty slammed to look good, I even removed the adjusters from the rear (kwv1). I ran 225/40 and had arches rolled and they still rubbed. 215/40 was the answer.
