I know, I know we shouldn't talk about racing on private land and such, but I was totally shocked that I pulled quite hard on an S3 (2.0T K04) today a few times over gears 2 through 5. Is there a lot of drivetrain loss with the S3 or something? Weight etc...
-
Its expected. A Stage 2 K03 will be approx 260hp/300lbft but weighs less than an S3. So you have the same power, more torque in the midrange and weigh less. Bhp/ton is what counts.

My old R-Tech stage 1 felt no slower than my mates standard S3
K03 spools quickly and delivers bags of torque. Standard S3 is very "flat" low down in the rev range
-
I never remember being able to pull so well on Stage 1 Bluefin... trounced my mates A5 3.0TDI from a roll today too, he's wanted a tune now, lol.

A5 3.0tdi did you say:

70 bhp? That's impressive.
-
Cool, that should makes things closer.
The A5 3.0 TDI with 310bhp 1600kg is 193bhp per tonne
The K03 S2 with 260bhp 1380kg is 188bhp per tonne
But, the Audi is going to have monumental torque, but 4wd loses no doubt... would be quite close everything being setup right.
I've no doubt though the A5 is going to have a MUCH easier time getting the power down AND accessing it more easily throughout it's rev range.
What sort of figures do PDT/rTech get from Stage 2 K03?

I would hazard a guess around 270bhp

It's not all about peak figures though, it's the average figures and the delivery :happy2:
