All
I have a WD MyBook wireless drive. All is good, until I use the packaged backup software, as it is known to be resource hungry!
So I removed this, and trialled NovaBACKUP, which was great, BUT creates its own type of backup file, preventing me from opening and viewing the files remotely.
Thought I found the answer with the Windows 7 Backup feature, but the files compress, and so my work computer is unable to open. I tried a registry change found after searching, but this didn't seem to work, as the files still compressed (zip).
Anyway, can anyone recommend a backup software, which I can schedule to run, or have running live, which transfer the files as they are, so viewable in windows explorer etc?
Thanks very much

Thanks for the replies.
I tried so many trials and free programs (before I saw the SyncToy suggestion), and ended up choosing Genie Time Line. I am really please with it, and it does exactly what I was after.
Cheers again
