I have the 3 way front factory speakers and the Alpine wr928 head unit, would I need a amp or should I wait to see how it sounds? :happy2:
-
Fitted them in mine, I have an amp, sound is great, I have tried different head units and the difference in sound is quite noticable

Excellent choice Sanj. If you can, stretch to the Performance range, the P165V33, but with those you would be best off hooking up an amp too. You will always be better off running an amp with speakers like that, having said that, they will be a big difference over stock.
-
I'm also going to replace the stock speakers with something similar, what type of amp do you people recommend for these?
-
Thank's guy's,before I order a set will these fit without the need for any adaptor's,are they a direct swap?
-
You will need to drill out the main 6.5" speakers as they are riveted to the doors and then fit the new speakers using SAK-3108 adapters. You will then also need to get some mdf adapters made for the mids.
-
Thank you for all your help Luis, will these be ok for the mid's or will I be able to buy everything as a complete kit?

No worries mate. With regards the rings for the mids, they need to be custom made, those rings you linked to will not work as they are. I made some up today in fact for an install I am doing at the moment. I will be doing a full write up on this install so if you wait a few days, it will be up. Then you can see exactly what is involved, etc.

Thank's i'll hold on then as i've no idea! :happy2:

Will get to the write up as soon as I get a breather Sanj.
