I have contacted this seller and asked about a group buy to see what discount they can give , £50 a cover seems a bit steep to me. I have also asked if they do a rear seat cover too .

As you say looks a good fit , but then it would do as they are trying to sell them  :rolleye:

Anyone actually got any of these fitted ?

Do they split apart easily if your seat airbag goes off?

Do any seatcovers do that ? I have never seen any that do .

I've got some that do. There is normally a slit down the side of the seat cover with some other material stitched in to rip apart easier if the airbags are ever deployed, it was an option on the site I ordered mine off. I can't remember where I got mine from now

Following on from this and another question from another i have been in touch with Capital , the makers of these covers . I specifically asked about airbags in the seats and they stated they have sold thousands and it has never been an issue and or questioned . Now they haven't really answered the question so i would suggest that as there is no weaker area within the cover to split open if the airbag deployed that they may hinder the deployment and therefore an issue for some.

They offered 15% for six covers , is this worth a Group buy post and see what the response is ??

Also asked about a rear seat cover and they don't do them .

Last year I bought some seat covers from here:

http://www.titancovers.co.uk/products/Volkswagen-Front-Seat-Covers.html

They fit the front seats well and have flaps in the sides to allow the airbag to deploy in the event of an accident.  I have seen others which use a weakened seam to do the same.  If the covers don't have either of these, then the seat airbag cannot deploy effectively.  I did have to pay a little bit more, but I wasn't willing to risk a failed deployment if I ever did have an accident.

I'd be interested in buying four front seat covers. x2 for the mk5(driver & passenger) and x2 for the mk4 RECARO (driver & passenger)
