Title: [Golf MKV 1.9 TDI] Which 1.9 TDIs had DPFs?

Hi,

I am looking to buy MKV 1.9 TDI from 2005(05-) or 2006(up to 56) and would prefer to buy one without DPF. I'd like to buy the weakest version(105bhp). How do I check if a car has one?

None of the 1.9s had DPFs aside from the Bluemotions mate.
The 1.9s of that you're looking at are DPF free!  :P

Also depends on which 1.9 you get - there is a 105bhp & a later 104bhp. Some of the 104's also had DPF's fitted from 2009 onwards, but they are pretty rare - and they dont have to be bluemotions. In all the cars i  looked at when buying my jetta - only 2 had DPF's fitted.

Okay, let's clarify, the 105s don't have DPFs.. the 104s were in the Caddys and a few other models?

In the Mk5 the only 1.9s to come with a DPF were in the bluemotion, and the 2.0 TDI 170s, and the 140 Bluemotions.

yeah sorry - I missed that bit out! The 105 & 104 engines came in the Caddy, Touran, Jetta & Golf Plus! The 105 only came in the Golf itself.
