Title: Bbs lm reps? Any good?
Post by: ukshaun on April 20, 2013, 10:53:09 pm
Hi
I am thinking about getting bbs lm reps for my golf but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these. How good are the reps for flaking and general quality.

Thanks

There are so many unbranded LM reps out there it would be difficult to say exactly what the quality is like / going to be like with all weather conditions. Eg. flaking / corosion. But in my experiance, the more you look after the wheels, even reps, the much better quality they are for longer. Obvious I know. But the quality of them can be maintained to a high standard  :happy2:

I had a set on my old mk4 and my Passat. Both made by dare. They are good wheels you just need too keep on top of them. I.e. keep them clean rim wax etc.  :happy2:

I had a set on my old Mk4.

Try Mark at BM Autosport for a set, good quality ones.

The rim will start to chip/flake if get stone chips in them, even cleaning the wheels on a regular basis. Mine lasted two winters before starting to show small signs of wear tho.

I've not heard many horror stories with lm reps but its a case of who you buy through I suppose! Wheel mania in birmingham and bmautosport is who id deal with as the customer service is top notch!
