Affirmative....
-
last time I saw the ISS it flew by! great shot catching it.
-
:congrats: Very impressive!
I know nothing about spacey things. How do you know the path or location of the ISS Rich, is it via a tracking system of some sort?

Someone gave me a heads up.... i think its visible tonight too... 23/4/13 about 8:30 low in the sky in the direction of the moon. Ill check it out and let you know.

Saw it once at altitude, the tropopause is atmospheric layer that above the air gets really really clear.
Anyway we were high and it was low and we got pretty much best view anybody's going to get of it with the naked eye, we see shooting stars regularly up there but they don't have a flashing beacon like the ISS....sort of gave it away.
Sort of had a 10 second WTF before my FO told me what it was and saved my embarrassment I was just about to call up to have it intercepted!
Good pic.....hugely long exposure ??
-
Thanks Dave. Not a long exposure, I think it was a few hundredths of a second.
I was going to take a "star trail" long exposure of it to show it moving but couldn't find my tripod plate. :fighting:

Will be going round to my brothers tonight as he has a (never used) home telescope. I told him about the ISS (yesterday) and he had a look for it but only managed to find the moon! We could be a long time. :stupid:
EDIT: found all the info here........

Just found out we've got 5:51 minutes to see it.

If you have an iphone get the StarWark app... as you can pin point exactly where it should be
-
The ISS is back in our skies!! It has just passed from the west at 22:43, next pass is at 00:20 so get those cameras out!
-
It's going over from the west now! Followed by the ATV4 at 22:49
