Ok I'm new to the forum and I'm sure someone has the answer. Eddies name seems to pop up on the searches I've done so maybe you can help.
My car is a 2007 gt sport tdi 170 DSG. It has a full highline MFD but when I've plugged in vagcom it says it has an AP steering module which according to Ross tech is a mid line module. Car has standard satnav, does this make any difference.
Anyway I am trying retro fit a mk5 gti flat bottom multi function steering wheel with paddle shift. I will also be putting a cruise control stalk on too.
Question is do I need to change my steering module and most importantly which ones will work. I have seen the list on Ross tech website but they do not indicate whether they are for paddle shift or not. I have done searches and it appears that I need an AK module, is this right or will any others work and most important where can I get one from.
Thanks Jon

You need a new controller
1K0 953 549 followed by AQ, AK, BK, BG are the ones to go for
make sure the software on the controller is NOT 0070 638 or cruise won't work

Thanks for the quick reply Eddie. Just one more question, is there an explanation how I have a full highline mfd+ whilst only having a midline controller, this has caused me some confusion and is why I originally thought I could do the conversion with the current module. Secondly does anyone know where I can get a second hand module, none on eBay and my local dealership are absolutely useless.
Thanks
Jon

two different items
Highline Cluster = Top of the cluster parts
Highend Steering controller = supports all features
Highend CCM = supports all features
Highend CECM = supports all features
Having one doesn't require the others to be highend too
