Title: VW Rust - Been to the garage

Bit the bullet so to speak and have been to see VW ref. the rust warranty.

Its seems the VW (Coventry) are well aware of this issue, but they have told me there are now guidelines to getting the done. Both of my wings have gone, rear badge and sills. Anyway, they are tell me

1. I will be lucky just to get the wings painted
2. The car must have been fully serviced to date
3. and there are only certain manuf. dates to which this warranty issue applies.

Listen they are nice people - got to go back Friday, I just feel they are doing all they can to fob me off and do not really want to help. Any advise PLEASE?

Seems happy to assist - but think I will just about get the wind(s) done if Im lucky -certainly will not spray into doors or bonnet - said they dont need to

I have been to my local dealer for those problems. I am now waiting on  reply but he said my wings would definitely get replaced but the rest I will have to wait for a reply.
