My Air-con on my GTI which has duel climate control isn't very cold at all or not sure if its even working, could this be a case of re-gassing or could if be something worse?
Thanks

Try a leak test and re-gas first chances are if it's not been done for a while that'll sort it.

Forgot to say i think you should be able to hear it turn on or off when you press the Eco or air con button you will prob hear the engine revs change
-
No I don't think it has. Just found a garage near me is doing £40 for air-con services though May, but not sure what a service would consist of would that be leak test and re-gas? I'll go have a play with the air-con button I don't have the Eco button.
Thanks

Just popped into the garage, apparently the belt still works but the revs dont drop, so he's going to re-gas it Friday and go from there. :happy2:

Last summer mine was not really blowing cold air so took it in for an air con service (which was included in my service plan) and that sorted it.
I'm assuming the service includes re-gassing it, so that could sort your problem :happy2:

He wasn't exactly sure but he's going to re-gas the system then fingers crossed that will sort it.
-
How did you get on with your air con issue ?
-
Yes i had it re-gassed and checked yesterday morning and there was no leaks in the system but when we tried it with the air-con on it didn't feel ice cold but we think that's because it was cold yesterday, so the sun needs to come out to really see.
He said every thing was running right and no error codes so hopefully it'll be fine.
He also gave me a quote for some eibach sport line springs and for the Diverter valve to be replaced, he wasn't keen on removing the precat though. :driver:
