Post by: smithyc1987 on April 24, 2013, 11:50:31 am
As above folks i have a mk5 golf gti 2008
Very low, the front passenger side drop link is knocking quite bad over bumps etc
I am going to lakes tomorrow about 135miles
Motorway etc will this be safe,
Could i put standard drop links back on its currently on shortend ones that came with my fk highsports.
Have young daughter in car and im panicking.

The car will be fine to drive though i am not sure about fitting oe ones if you have shortened ones. I cant see there being a problem other than they may wear out quicker on lowered cars. Id chanhe them both as when one goes the other cant be far behind on the wear stakes.

If you are that worried why dont you lift the front coilovers to max and put the standard drop links on? until you order some more.

just an idea
