Can you believe how this Numpty Golf driver has parked next to my sister in laws Beetle. Obviously a company car driver who doesn't give a sh*t about his car or anyone else. Canterbury Hospital car park if anyone knows the Golf's owner.

f*ck me... That driver really needs to get some parking lessons! :stupid:
-
Wtf....had I parked like that I'd be expecting an expensive paint job to remove all the key marks and dents.
-
Thats what i said, My poor sister-in-law had to get to the front via climbing through that bush in a skirt. She has posted these pictures on her Facebook, hoping to get a name
-
Deffo deserved to come back to 4 flat's for that !
-
The only thing I can think of there is that someone was in an emergency situation, why the hell would anyone park like that otherwise. Madness.
-
What a wanker!
-
That is shocking!!!
The only half acceptable reason i could think is that as its at a hospital maybe the owner was rushing to get to someone who had just been admitted?
If not then there really is no excuse
-

Even that wouldnt wash with me...
-
If that happened to me red mist would have descended. Only saving grace stopping me from doing something stupid would be the fact it's a hospitable and maybe the person was in a rush.

Really?!
What if its there young child thats been rushed in for something serious? Or mother/father has had a heart attack/stroke?
Surely you'd be able to understand that they may have other things on there mind at the time?
-
It doesn't excuse an extra 5 seconds being just a tiny bit more considerate.

And what if someone close to you has just passed and you come out to someone who has just done this to you. Red mist rage.

Exactly....

I would of asked somebody to park up tight against their drivers door then, in the words of Dale Winton," the only way in is through the back door"!! :booty:
-
What.a.prick :stupid:
It looks like a wind up?
-
what a knob
I would have let their tyres down

HAHAHA the wife got me the ticket book for Xmas

Not read all the replies but idiots!
What was on the other side of the golf, was the other car parked over lines/bay too
-
No the car next to the golf was parked within the lines so no excuse, my sister-in-law waited to try and see who parked the car but in the end she reported it to the car park attendants and left.
-
What a tool!
Until I saw the second pic I was convinced that the cars were touching
-
Not surprising to see the rear bumper is damaged on the golf!
-
I know it's a bit off topic but has anyone else noticed recently that apparently if you're a fat b*stard you can park in the parent and child paces too.
Oh and while I'm at it what possesses people to park right next to my car in a virtually empty car park, especially when I've go to the trouble of parking as far away from everyone else as I can............ :fighting:
-
Unbelieveable how someone can park and not think like that.
My finding is when people park next to you in an empty car park is called the herd instinct, basically there using your car as a marker to park because there too lazy or crap at parking to do it for themselves
-
Unbelieveable how someone can park and not think like that.
I'm not so sure. I rushed my son to the doctors on Monday evening with very sharp pains in the side of his head. He was delirious and the only thing on my mind was to get him looked at as soon as possible. Whether I'd parked perfectly between the lines in the car park didn't cross my mind.
If that makes me an inconsiderate barstewards then so be it, but I'd beg to differ.
-
I sometimes think that cars are all that matter to people round here. Rationality goes out the window when a loved one is hurt or in pain. Surely you can all understand that?

Maybe it was Russ swift? :driver:
-
I can see it from both sides.
If you are rushing a member of your family or a friend to hospital I don't really think it would cross the average person's mind how they park when they pull to the A&E.
At the same time you still need to be considerate to others and the extra 10 seconds it takes to park relatively straight, or at least leaving the car next to you with access to it's door - unless having a heart attack or something - is very unlikely to cause any long-term problems (trust me, I am a Doctor on another forum).
Now moving on from this I see a lot of people who are almost condoning violent act towards other people's cars - kicking them, keying them, damage which costs £hundreds to repair.
I've had my car keyed. I was parked on my Mums driveway in a nice area. Let me tell you, it's not nice, and the £450 (and that's mates rates, would have cost me around £750 at a regular bodyshop) and 3 days without my car that it cost me, was not fun either.
No-one has the right to damage anyone elses property. If you feel that strongly about someone's parking - wait it out and confront the person, or leave a note with a contact number. By damaging someone elses car you are in my eyes, worse than the person who's parked inconsiderately. It's unlikely when parking they have purposefully gone out of the way to make your life hard. By vandalising someone's car you are KNOWINGLY, and without any care or respect whatsoever, damaging someone's car costing them HUNDREDS or possibly more. When in 99% of cases all they've done is cause you 5 minutes of inconvenience.
Also as a general note why do people quote pictures?
-
These are stickers available online.
You stick them on the back (or front) of the offending vehicle then post the picture to shame them.

A slightly more appropriate way of pointing out your annoyance than damaging other peoples property!
-
Just to update, it was a staff car park. believe it or not whilst my sister-in-law was parking her car this morning she came across the Golf driver  she was a young Doctor who at first denied it, but once shown the photographic evidence, tried to say there wasn't enough room on the other side(also a lie) in the end she almost started crying and ran off. lets hope shes a better Doctor than a driver!
-
^ lol.
-
Did you find out if she was pretty? All would be forgiven if she's a hottie doccie
-
I'd be tempted NOT to p*ss her off, you never know she might be the one that has to remove that in growing toe nail next week!!!!

had the very same thing, pensioner watches me park and decides to park next to my car with about a foot to open the door. I spotted this as I was about to go in the shop and walk back to watch them get out, they couldn't get out :fighting:
what was the point in it, I'm sure had I not watched them they would have bashed my car

Round her up and burn her at the stake.

A foxy young female doctor is berated for a slight parking misjudgement.
Criminal retribution is entertained.
The obese and now even the elderly are being attacked.
If a wheelchair user comes anywhere near your pride and joy, deal with them swiftly. I've found that a firm slap in the face with a monkfish stuns them sufficiently to allow you to either push them down the nearest hill (for a manual chair) or short the battery (where an electric wheelchair is encountered). You have the option of informing them how expensive a correction detail is these days.

I'm not attacking the elderly, just pointing out there was no need to park inconsiderately. I park out of the way to protect my car from these morons that don't know how to park. Another pet hate are people who abandon shopping trolleys in car parks.

It really doesnt take much to swing a car into a space straighter than that though does it. If you cant do that then you dont deserve that usless piece of photo ID that you carry around. (Not directed at you but in general)
Lol that its not even someone remotly in a rush just some clown.
I am also against vandalism but letting their tyres down will teachthem a lessonthatll cost them time and no money, seems like a fiar punishment to me!

I'm not saying it does - but I am saying that it is just possible that in some circumstances it may not even enter someone's mind that they've parked incorrectly, and if they're not thinking straight it might impede their ability to slot their car in a tight space.
This thread is ridiculous. So someone is sh*t at parking, happens everyday!
-
Bad parking for sure - how on earth did your sister in law get the car out of the space? It looks so tight that she couldn't reverse straight back without catching the golf, and there doesn't look to be enough angle to turn the car left without clipping mirrors?!

Was thinking the same, too tight!
-
If it is not on someones mind to park properly, even at a hospital, then they shouldn't have even driven there. Who knows what other accidents they might have caused on they way.
-
how hard is it to pull in to a bay forwards? i think it would require me more time to do it like that. And even if they had a passenger in need of the hospital they'll be dead before they've got out the car with that effort..... unless they're very slim....
-

exactly, it takes the same time to park properly as abandoning it
-
Haha, you really are a self-righteous lot. A forum full of Victors :stupid:
-

A bit harsh i think
if that had been your car and someone parked like that you would have been annoyed too.
when I look at the picture of how close and the angle it is parked at it would have taken more time to park like that and it would have been very difficult to reverse the beetle out without causing damage to golf.
I like to be considerate to others when driving and parking
too bad there are plenty of morons out there that can't reciprocate that
-
In an emergency I think anything goes really, I know I wouldn't give 2 sh*ts how I parked, however this wasn't an emergency so it's just someone who's extremely inconsiderate and although I don't condone it, if their car was scratched when they returned it really shouldn't be surprising to them.
None the less parking inconsiderately is not an offence, criminal damage is.
-

Thank you.

If it was that much of an emergency surely they would have abandoned the car in the ambulance bay
as I said it would have taken more effort and time to park that close to car.

I've been to our local hospital on a number of occasions and I wouldn't have a clue where the ambulance bay is, but I do know where the car park by the front doors is
And there was no effort involved in parking that close, it was just pure luck there was no contact.
-
pure luck as you say
had your car been parked there and some moron wasn't lucky and scraped and crunched the side of your pride and joy. You wouldn't be so forgiving.
-
The ambulance bay is located right outside the emergency entrance to a&e which in any emergency you would drive straight to (if you had a passenger). If not you would throw it in any space in the car park.
TBH most of us know how to park properly even if in a rush as we know how to swing into a space, obviously some don't but in a public car park in a hospital you would let the above go assuming it was someone rushing to a loved one not in the right frame of mind.
This however was in a staff car park, l again if it was a a doctor/nurse called in or rushing to a major op, again fair enough and if the culprit hasn't come to light again you would let it go on that basis.
Unfortunately in this case it's come to light that it was neither case and more care should've been taken, it appears as if the driver was more used to a smaller type of vehicle by the sort of parking displayed and should've spent a few more seconds backing out a straightening up. It's not that difficult.
-
You wouldn't be so forgiving.
Honestly, that would depend purely on circumstance. My wife's PA rushed to her Fathers bedside to spend his last 5 minutes with him. You think I'd be unforgiving if she had scratched my car in doing that? I'd say it was clumsy, but completely understandable. Luckily I realise there are things more important than my "pride and joy".
-
I agree with you that there are things more important than your car.
However this was not the case with the OP parking problem, no excuse for parking like that.
