Is it a bad idea to put a dump valve on my golf mk5 gti   :mad:

Yes.

TFSI likes boost air to be recirculated, hence why has a diverter valve as standard.

You will get more turbo lag and a noise that would p1ss you off after a few weeks  :sick:

If you really want the "dump" noise, forge sell a spacer that gives the noise whist retaining the recirculation. Proven to lose you power though  :grin:

Best off selling up and buying a scooby tbh

was just checking if they run better with them obviously not lol stickt o the the exhaust and induction kit  :happy2:

Does the Forge 007p not give you a slightly more noticeable noise, yet still recirculates the boost?

If you want noise, get an induction kit, lots of whoosh dishh for you.
