Hi,
Going to order the 3sdm 0.06's this week :jumping:
Mates have got the 0.05's and 0.01's both running the staggered 8.5 and 9.5 on the rear.....they are telling me to get those rather than the 8.5 all the way round
If i went for:
18 x 8.5 et42 on front with 215/40 tyres
18 x 9.5 et40 on rear with 225/40 tyres
Would they fit?
I will be on coilovers and putting it low but not silly low :signLOL: just sitting over the tyre
I don't want to camber as car is a daily for work so cant be arsed to chew through tyres
HELP
-
Go for 8.5 all round if its a daily
-
I got staggered 0.01s on mine and without camber the rears rubbed like mad
-
Thanks for replies :happy2:
Did it rub because you were really low?
Iv searched the net alot about this and getting mixed reviews
Any pics would be great....

Blackthorn has some on his ed30. Check the for sale section

I wouldn't say I was really low just above the tyres it was ok on a smooth road but soon as speed bumps etc u heard every bump in the road on the arches

What tyres and offset are you running with your 3SDM if you don't mind me asking?
I'm in the same position as the OP, been reading up on the forum and end up getting conflicting results. I think i will be going for 8.5j all round with a 225/40/18 tyre and ET45. Not going to lower on coilovers but on some H&R springs i think. Hopefully no rubbing issues.

There's a thread about Mk5 fitment on E38, if that's any use?

Thanks guys....this has def help make my decision
Think im guna go for staggered....the concave on the 9.5 is awesome
Reckon il go for 225/35 tyres on the rears rather than 40's
Will be ordering them today :driver:

Iv got the 0.05's in staggered fitment and your defiantly going to need rear camber if you don't want it to rub with 9.5" rears
I'm running a 225/40 and around 3 degrees of camber and hasn't rubbed once

Mine is a daily and i run the 0.05's 215/45/18 Bridgestone fronts and 225/40/18 Bridgestone rears. Car is on KW V2 and is wound down (soon to go lower) I have done the front arch screw mod (can be found by using the search option)
I have some catching -but that is down to the stupid 19"'s i ran before these.
I have carried people in the back and no issues.
