Title: Golf GTi Buying Help

HI,
Im in the process off selling my audi a3 to purchase a mk5 gti..
What should i look out for ?
I have about 6500 to spend but been searching and prices are so varied ..some being more expensive and more miles and then some being cheaper with low miles etc etc

When I was looking for one, I looked at quite a few before I found mine. Most of the examples I looked at had rust on one or both front wings so check for rust or if repaired. History obviously important so check this and if all important timing belt and water pump have been replaced. Never settle on the first car you view unless its exactly what you are looking for.

i have been in contact with jamie on this forum about his golf mk5 silver..

So just the basics you do with every car then?
