my brothers black golf was stolen tonight from our home in wanstead if anyone see's it please let me know

It was a standard mk6 2.0 tdi spec alought it had bbs split rim alloys on it minus tbe centre caps as someone stole them.
 It has a pionner vw rns 510 look alike, full sound system, dpf delete stage 2 map. >:(

No all 3 keys are in the key safe at home. We have it on cctv being driven back past the house. So keys definitely cloned at some point.

The reason why I now also pull the door handle or boot lid after locking the car.

Although the bit I don't understand is how can he clone the blade part of the key without actually getting hold of the original key?

thats a good point.
He might have a master key, but with a blank transponder chip, im guessing as long as he can turn the key in the ignition and a blank chip, he can program it using vcds.

im near wanstead area mate, will keep a look out.

The car was in for a cambelt change at a large local vag 'specialist' on Saturday. The car was there for what I felt an excessive period of time with them in possession of the keys. Police are looking at this avenue.
